Maximum technology

Two techniques. One intelligent plan.

Sapphire FUE and DHI are not competing labels on a price list. They are different tools in hair restoration — and the way they are used should follow your hair, your donor area and your long-term plan.

At Maximum Istanbul, a combined Sapphire FUE + DHI approach is part of our standard treatment planning for suitable patients. The objective is not to use more techniques for the sake of it. It is to choose the right approach for each part of the procedure.

  • 16 years of senior hair-restoration experience.
  • A maximum of two patients per day.
  • One complete treatment standard.

02 The combination

Extraction and implantation are different decisions.

A hair transplant has several distinct stages: assessing the donor area, harvesting follicular units, planning where the hair will grow and placing grafts into the recipient area.

FUE describes how follicular units are extracted from the donor area. Sapphire FUE usually refers to creating recipient sites with sapphire-tipped blades. DHI commonly refers to placing grafts with an implanter pen. These terms describe different steps — not three mutually exclusive surgeries.

That distinction matters. A combined plan may use FUE extraction, sapphire-blade recipient-site creation in selected areas and implanter-assisted placement in other areas. The exact sequence and instruments depend on the approved surgical plan.

03 The sapphire element

Precision starts before a graft is placed.

Sapphire-tipped blades can be used to create recipient sites in areas where pre-made channels are part of the surgical plan. Their shape and size are selected according to the intended recipient area and the medical team’s technique.

The important decisions are the placement, angle, direction, spacing and suitability of those sites. A blade material alone cannot guarantee natural density, faster healing or a better result.

At Maximum Istanbul, instrument choice follows the design — never the other way around.

04 The DHI element

Control where control matters.

DHI is commonly used to describe implantation with a specialized implanter device. In appropriate areas, this may support a controlled placement workflow when handled by a trained team.

The device does not replace planning or clinical judgment. Hair direction, depth, spacing, graft handling and the characteristics of the recipient skin remain important.

DHI is not automatically better for every scalp, every hair type or every recipient zone. That is why we evaluate where it genuinely fits the plan.

05 The Maximum approach

One scalp. Different needs.

The frontal hairline, temples, mid-scalp and crown do not all present the same design challenge. Some areas call for a delicate transition. Others demand careful distribution across a broader surface. Existing hair may also change the approach.

For suitable patients, a combined Sapphire FUE + DHI plan gives the team options rather than forcing every area into one implantation workflow.

What matters is the result of the planning: a natural-looking design, sensible graft distribution and protection of the donor area for the future.

06 Not a formula

The right decision changes from area to area.

  1. 01

    Hairline

The first rows need particular attention to shape, irregularity, graft selection and growth direction. The goal is a hairline that belongs to your face, not one copied from a photograph.

  2. 02

    Mid-scalp

Density planning must take your existing hair, hair calibre and available graft supply into account. Placing more grafts is not always the best answer.

  3. 03

    Crown

The natural swirl pattern and a potentially larger surface area can make crown work demanding. The design must respect both the hair pattern and the long-term donor budget.

  4. 04

    Existing hair

Transplanting between native hairs may require a different placement strategy and careful discussion of the risk of temporary shedding.

07 Maximum precision

Angle. Direction. Distribution.

Natural hair does not grow straight up in neat rows. It changes direction across the scalp. The hairline, temples and crown each have their own patterns.

Before implantation, the treatment plan must account for these patterns as well as hair characteristics, expected density and the available donor supply.

The technique is a tool. The design is the decision.

08 Long-term thinking

A good plan protects what you cannot replace.

Every graft taken from the donor area is part of a limited supply. The goal is not to extract the highest possible number in one session.

We assess donor density, hair characteristics, the area requiring coverage and the possibility of future hair loss. Sometimes a conservative plan is the stronger plan.

If your goals exceed what your donor area can safely support, we would rather explain the limits than promise coverage that cannot be responsibly planned.

09 Maximum expertise

16 years in the work. Present in the plan.

The senior hair-restoration expert behind Maximum Istanbul brings 16 years of practical experience to the treatment-planning process.

That experience informs the consultation, hairline discussion and individualized treatment design. The licensed medical team remains responsible for medical assessment, authorization and any procedures reserved to medical professionals.

We believe patients should understand who is involved, what each person does and who is medically accountable — before choosing a date.

10 Maximum safety

A technique is only as responsible as the team using it.

Hair transplantation is a medical procedure. Your suitability, medical history, anesthesia needs and treatment plan must be reviewed by the appropriately qualified treating professionals.

Maximum Istanbul coordinates an organized patient experience around treatment in a private-hospital environment. The licensed medical provider and treating clinicians are responsible for clinical decisions and medical care.

Clear roles, appropriate monitoring and informed consent are not extras. They are essential.

11 Maximum technology

Small tools. Big decisions.

Punch size, recipient-site instruments and implantation devices should be selected for the person and the task — not chosen to support a marketing slogan.

Careful handling of follicular units, sensible timing and coordination between trained team members matter throughout the procedure.

Our standard is built around using appropriate tools with deliberate planning, not selling one device as a miracle.

12 The procedure

A full day built around one plan.

  1. 01

    Assess & design

Review medical suitability, donor characteristics, recipient areas and the agreed hairline.

  2. 02

    Prepare & anesthetize

The clinical team prepares the treatment area and administers appropriate anesthesia according to the medical plan.

  3. 03

    Extract & handle grafts

Follicular units are harvested using the approved extraction approach and prepared for implantation.

  4. 04

    Create sites & implant

The treating team follows the individualized plan, using the selected placement workflow for each area.

  5. 05

    Review & guide

You receive initial care instructions and the next steps for washing, recovery and follow-up.

13 Individual assessment

Not every patient needs the same answer.

A combined approach may be considered for people who need restoration across different recipient areas or who have existing hair that affects implantation planning.

But technique choice comes after a medical and donor assessment. Your age, pattern of hair loss, donor capacity, health history and expectations can change the recommendation.

In some cases, a different plan — or postponing treatment — may be more appropriate. An honest assessment is part of the standard.

14 One standard. One price.

€2,500. A complete approach — not a technique upgrade.

Combined Sapphire FUE + DHI planning is part of the Maximum Istanbul treatment standard for suitable patients. It is not positioned as a paid upgrade over a supposedly inferior basic method.

The advertised €2,500 treatment includes the coordinated three-day, two-night visit, accommodation and airport transfers, together with the agreed procedure and standard aftercare support, subject to the written treatment offer.

Your personal assessment determines medical suitability, the expected plan and any exceptions. We explain what is included before you reserve.

15 The long view

The procedure takes a day. Growth takes time.

You will receive individualized washing and recovery instructions after the procedure. Temporary redness, scabbing, shedding and changes in sensation can occur during healing.

New growth commonly begins over the following months. Visible density continues to develop gradually, and final maturation may take approximately 12 to 18 months depending on the individual and the treated area.

No technique can remove the biological timeline of hair growth. We prefer realistic expectations to unrealistic promises.

16 Realistic results

No method can override your biology.

Your result depends on multiple factors: donor characteristics, degree of hair loss, medical suitability, graft handling, surgical execution, healing and the progression of native-hair loss.

Sapphire blades and implanter pens can be useful instruments. Neither is a guarantee of density, graft survival or a particular cosmetic result.

The most useful question is not “Which technique sounds newer?” It is “Why is this plan right for my hair?”

17 Patient FAQ

Questions patients ask.

Can Sapphire FUE and DHI be used in the same hair transplant?

Yes. FUE extraction, sapphire-blade recipient-site creation and implanter-assisted placement describe different steps or approaches. A medical team may combine appropriate elements within one individualized procedure.

Is Sapphire FUE better than DHI?

They are not a simple either-or comparison. Sapphire usually describes a recipient-site blade; DHI usually describes implanter-assisted placement. The right workflow depends on the scalp, grafts and treatment plan.

Does Maximum Istanbul use both techniques for everyone?

Our standard treatment planning includes a combined Sapphire FUE + DHI approach for suitable patients. The exact methods and areas are decided after individual medical assessment. Not every patient needs every component.

Does DHI mean there are no incisions?

No. Implantation still involves placing grafts into the skin. The instruments and sequence may differ, but claims of an incision-free hair transplant are misleading.

Does combining techniques guarantee higher density?

No. Density depends on donor supply, hair characteristics, recipient-area needs, clinical execution and healing. A combination of instruments cannot guarantee a specific result.

Will I need to shave my head?

Shaving requirements depend on the treatment area, extraction plan and existing hair. A no-shave or partial-shave approach may be possible for selected patients, but it must be confirmed during assessment.

How many grafts will I receive?

The number is based on donor capacity, treatment priorities and what can be planned safely. We do not recommend a graft number based on a marketing target.

Is the combined treatment included in €2,500?

Combined-technique planning is included in the advertised Maximum Istanbul treatment standard for suitable patients. The written offer should confirm your inclusions and any individual exceptions.

How long before I see results?

Growth is gradual. Early changes may appear after several months, while fuller maturation commonly takes around 12 to 18 months. Individual timelines vary.

Who decides which method is used?

The individualized plan is developed with senior expert input and reviewed by the appropriately qualified medical team. The licensed treating provider is responsible for clinical decisions and care.
