Hairline restoration / Istanbul
A natural hairline is designed. Not drawn.
Your hairline frames your face. Its position, shape, softness and growth direction can make the difference between a result that feels like your own hair and one that looks transplanted.
At Maximum Istanbul, hairline restoration starts with a personal assessment—not a standard template. Every design must make sense for your face, your existing hair and your future hair loss.
02 Maximum precision
The first millimetres matter.
A hairline is not one continuous row of identical hairs. Natural transitions are irregular, gradual and different from person to person.
The objective is not to create a mathematically perfect outline. It is to restore a believable frame for the face, with the right distribution of grafts and a considered transition into the hair behind it.
03 Personal before technical
Your face sets the starting point.
We assess facial proportions, forehead shape, temple recession, age, existing density and the likely pattern of future hair loss before deciding where a new hairline should sit.
A very low hairline may look attractive in a sketch but consume valuable donor grafts and become difficult to maintain if surrounding native hair continues to thin. A thoughtful design balances what looks good now with what remains sensible later.
04 Maximum detail
Natural does not mean perfectly straight.
The leading edge of a natural hairline usually has subtle irregularity. Fine single-hair grafts are commonly considered at the front, while appropriate multi-hair units can help build density further behind.
Graft selection and distribution must follow the individual patient’s donor characteristics. The aim is a soft transition—not a hard wall of hair.
05 Maximum precision
Hair does not grow straight up.
The direction and angle of implanted hair influence how a hairline lies, blends and can be styled. Frontal hairs, corners and temples do not all follow the same pattern.
Planning recipient sites and placing grafts with attention to those natural directions is essential. The instrument matters, but it cannot replace the judgment of the people using it.
06 More than a front line
The corners change the whole face.
Temple recession often makes a hairline appear higher or more mature even when the central front remains relatively strong. Restoring the corners can change the visual frame of the face.
Temple work is also technically demanding because hair direction, calibre and the available donor supply must be considered. Not every patient is a suitable candidate for aggressive temple restoration.
07 Work with what you have
Restore the line. Respect the hair behind it.
Some patients need a new frontal frame; others need careful reinforcement among thinning native hairs. These are not identical treatment plans.
Where existing hair remains, planning must account for its distribution and the possibility of further loss. Implantation near native follicles requires careful judgment and does not remove the risk of temporary shedding.
08 Maximum personalization
A good hairline should not cost your future options.
The donor area is a limited resource. Every graft used at the front is a graft no longer available for other areas if hair loss progresses.
We consider donor density, hair characteristics, recipient priorities and possible future needs before recommending a graft distribution. More grafts are not automatically a better plan.
09 Maximum technology
Two techniques. One hairline plan.
For suitable scalp patients, Maximum Istanbul works with a combined Sapphire FUE and DHI approach. Sapphire instruments may be used for planned recipient-site creation; DHI implantation may be selected where it supports the treatment design.
These are tools within a wider process—not upgrades sold to make one patient feel they are buying a better hairline. The technique and division of work depend on the approved medical plan.
10 Maximum expertise
16 years of experience. Involved in the details.
Our senior hair-transplant expert brings 16 years of personal experience to hair-restoration planning and works closely with the medical team on assessment and design.
We believe experience matters most where judgment is required: where the line should begin, how it should transition and how the available grafts should be used. Clinical suitability and medical responsibilities remain with the appropriately licensed professionals.
11 Maximum attention
Two patients a day. No assembly-line approach.
Maximum Istanbul limits its schedule to a maximum of two hair-transplant patients per day. That capacity is part of our approach to personal attention and organized treatment planning.
It is not a promise that one person performs every step. It means each patient deserves an individual plan, clear communication and a team that knows their case.

13 What to expect
The hairline you see first is not the final result.
Newly implanted hairs can shed during the early months while the follicles remain beneath the skin. Regrowth is gradual, and early patchiness does not necessarily predict the final outcome.
Many patients notice meaningful progress over the following months. Hairline maturity can take around 12–18 months, with individual variation. Follow-up photos help assess the process at appropriate intervals.
14 One complete standard
€2,500. The plan comes first.
Our stated complete treatment rate is €2,500 for eligible patients, subject to confirmation of the current offer and individual assessment. We do not charge a separate technique-upgrade fee simply because the approved plan combines Sapphire FUE and DHI.
Before booking, you receive a clear written breakdown of what is included, your travel arrangements and any medically necessary or optional items that are not part of the quoted rate.
15 FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What is a hairline hair transplant?
It is a hair-restoration procedure intended to rebuild or improve the frontal hairline using grafts from a suitable donor area. The design should reflect your facial proportions, hair characteristics and long-term hair-loss pattern.
Can a transplanted hairline look natural?
A natural-looking result is possible when the design, graft selection, angles, directions and density are carefully planned and executed. Results vary, and no provider can guarantee a specific appearance.
How low can my new hairline be?
That depends on your facial proportions, donor supply, age, existing hair and the possibility of future loss. The lowest possible line is not necessarily the best long-term choice.
How many grafts do I need for my hairline?
There is no reliable universal number. The estimate depends on the size of the area, hair calibre, donor characteristics and the density that can be safely pursued. An individual assessment is required.
Is a hairline transplant suitable for younger patients?
Sometimes, but the risk of progressive hair loss is especially important. A conservative design and discussion of long-term management may be preferable, and surgery is not suitable for everyone.
Can you restore the temples too?
Temple restoration may be possible for suitable patients. It requires careful attention to fine hair characteristics, angle, direction and donor planning.
Does DHI make a hairline more natural than FUE?
Neither label alone determines naturalness. FUE commonly refers to graft extraction; DHI describes an implantation method. The overall design and clinical execution matter more than the marketing label.
Will the transplanted hair fall out?
The hair shafts commonly shed after transplantation before new growth develops. This is different from losing every implanted follicle. Growth timelines and outcomes vary.
When will my hairline look finished?
Early growth often develops over several months, with further thickening and maturation commonly continuing toward 12–18 months. Individual timelines differ.
Will the donor area have scars?
FUE extraction leaves small extraction sites that can result in tiny scars. Their visibility depends on healing, technique, extraction pattern and hairstyle; “scar-free” is not an accurate promise.
Can I keep my existing hair behind the transplanted line?
A transplant does not stop hereditary hair loss in untreated native hair. Your medical professional may discuss suitable long-term hair-loss management options.
How do I get an assessment from abroad?
Send clear photographs of the front, temples, top and donor area together with relevant medical and hair-loss history. The team can discuss an initial plan, subject to in-person clinical assessment.
16 Your hairline. Your plan.
Let’s see what is right for you.
Send clear photographs of your front hairline, both temples, top and donor area. We can review your goals and explain whether a hairline transplant may be suitable and what the next steps would be.
An initial photo review is not a medical diagnosis or a guarantee of candidacy. Final decisions require appropriate professional assessment.
