Female hair transplant / Turkey

Your hairline. Your hair. Your plan.

Hair loss can look different in women. Some want a softer, lower hairline. Others notice widening at the part, thinning around the temples or reduced density across the scalp.

At Maximum Istanbul, the starting point is not a graft number. It is understanding what has changed, what is still healthy, and whether transplantation is the right step at all.

  • Personal design.
  • Careful donor assessment.
  • A plan built around your hair—not a template borrowed from someone else.

02 The first question

Is transplantation right for you?

Not every type of female hair loss should be treated with surgery. A stable, clearly defined hairline concern is different from widespread or rapidly changing thinning.

Before discussing technique, we review the pattern of loss, your donor area, relevant medical history and whether the hair loss needs investigation or treatment first.

If transplantation is unlikely to be beneficial or safe, the responsible answer is to explain that—not to push ahead.

03 Two very different goals

Lowering a hairline is not the same as treating thinning.

For some women, the concern is a naturally high forehead or a receded hairline with healthy donor hair. The objective may be to frame the face with a softer, proportionate outline.

For others, the issue is reduced density through the part or upper scalp. Here, the underlying cause and stability of hair loss matter just as much as the area that appears thin.

The treatment plan must follow the diagnosis and the long-term outlook—not just the immediate appearance.

04 Maximum Personalization

A hairline should fit the face it frames.

A natural female hairline is not simply a straight line moved downward. Forehead proportions, temple shape, facial features, existing hair direction and future changes all influence the design.

We discuss the look you want, then assess what can be achieved without sacrificing natural transitions or using donor hair unnecessarily.

The goal is a hairline that belongs to you, including the small irregularities that make real hairlines look real.

05 Diffuse thinning

More hair does not always mean a better transplant candidate.

Diffuse thinning can involve both the recipient and donor areas. If the donor is also affected, extracting grafts may weaken the very area we rely on for transplantation.

We therefore look beyond the top of the scalp. Hair density, miniaturization, scalp condition and progression should be assessed by an appropriately qualified clinician.

Where medical evaluation or stabilization is the better first step, surgery should wait.

06 No-shave options

You may not need to shave your entire head.

For selected female patients, a partial-shave or no-visible-shave approach may help preserve the surrounding hairstyle during treatment.

The practical options depend on graft needs, donor access, hair length, technique and the clinician’s assessment. Some trimming can still be required, and the procedure can remain visible while the scalp heals.

We will explain what is realistic for your case before you make travel plans.

07 Maximum Precision

Soft transitions. Natural direction.

The first rows of a transplanted hairline require particular attention to direction, angle and graft selection. A dense, harsh border can look less natural than a carefully graduated transition.

Planning also considers the existing hair so the transplanted area integrates with it rather than competing with it.

No instrument can replace sound design and precise execution.

08 Maximum Technology

Two methods. One personalised strategy.

For suitable scalp cases, Maximum Istanbul uses a combined Sapphire FUE + DHI approach as part of its treatment standard—not as a menu of paid technique upgrades.

Extraction, recipient-site planning and implantation are distinct steps. The appropriate method for each area depends on the existing hair, planned density, donor supply and medical judgment.

Technology supports the plan. It does not decide whether someone should have surgery.

09 Maximum Expertise

16 years of experience. Every case is individual.

Our senior hair-restoration expert brings 16 years of experience to consultation, design and key treatment planning decisions, working within a medically supervised treatment setting.

Women’s hair restoration requires careful case selection. Experience matters in knowing not only what may be possible, but when surgery may not be the best answer.

Individual clinical responsibilities and suitability are determined by the licensed medical team.

10 Donor area

The donor area is part of the result.

Transplanted hair comes from a finite donor supply. Preserving its appearance and capacity is essential, particularly when the surrounding hair is long or worn in styles that expose the back of the head.

The team assesses donor quality and plans extraction conservatively. The number of grafts should follow a safe, realistic plan rather than a target chosen for marketing.

If the donor cannot support the desired change, expectations must be adjusted—or surgery avoided.

11 Private experience

Personal attention is not an extra.

Maximum Istanbul plans a maximum of two patients per day. That limit supports focused coordination and individual attention throughout the visit.

Treatment takes place in a private hospital environment under the responsibility of the licensed medical provider, with clinical decisions made by the appropriate medical professionals.

From the first discussion to the final check before departure, you should know what happens next and who to contact.

12 Your Istanbul visit

Three days. A clear plan.

  1. 01

    Day 1

Arrive in Istanbul. Airport transfer, hotel check-in and your confirmed pre-treatment arrangements.

  2. 02

    Day 2

Medical assessment and, if approved, the hair transplant procedure. Timing and treatment details are confirmed individually.

  3. 03

    Day 3

First wash or follow-up check according to the medical team’s instructions, then departure arrangements.

International patients receive practical coordination for their visit. Travel schedules must leave enough time for the clinical team’s checks.

13 Recovery & discretion

Realistic recovery. Clear expectations.

Redness, small crusts, swelling and temporary changes in the appearance of both donor and recipient areas can occur after transplantation. Visible healing varies by person and technique.

Transplanted hairs often shed before new growth begins. Improvement is gradual over months; the final appearance may take 12–18 months to assess.

We discuss hairstyle management, washing and returning to normal activities based on your actual procedure and the medical team’s instructions.

14 Cost & inclusions

One complete standard. No technique upgrades.

The precise plan and eligibility are confirmed after assessment.

For an approved scalp case, the standard is intended to cover the planned transplant approach, the agreed Istanbul stay and transfers, and postoperative guidance. Any clinical extras or exceptions must be stated clearly before booking.

Female cases that require a different approach, or patients who are not suitable for transplantation, should never be forced into a standard package.

15 What to send

Start with photos. Not a commitment.

An initial photo review can help us understand your concerns and identify questions for the medical team. It cannot replace an examination or establish a diagnosis.

Useful images include a straight-on hairline view, both temples, the top and part line, and the back and sides of the donor area. Take them in clear, even light without filters or hair fibers.

Tell us how long you have noticed the change, whether it is progressing, and whether you have already received a diagnosis or treatment. Share medical information only through our approved private channel.

16 Questions worth asking

The right questions come before the procedure.

What is causing the hair loss? Is it stable? Is the donor area strong enough? Would a hair transplant improve the concern—or might it make management more difficult?

We believe those questions are as important as the number of grafts or the choice of implantation tool.

If the answer is to wait, investigate further or choose another approach, that is part of a responsible consultation.

17 FAQ

Female hair transplant — FAQ

Can women have a hair transplant in Turkey?

Yes, some women are suitable candidates. Suitability depends on the cause and pattern of hair loss, donor quality, scalp health and clinical assessment.

Is a hair transplant suitable for diffuse thinning?

Not always. Diffuse thinning may also affect the donor area, and some underlying causes require medical assessment or treatment rather than transplantation.

Can you lower a naturally high female hairline?

Transplantation may be considered for selected women with a stable hairline and adequate donor hair. Design, facial proportions and realistic coverage are discussed individually.

Do I have to shave my head?

Not necessarily. Partial-shave or no-visible-shave approaches may be possible in selected cases, but some trimming can still be necessary.

Will the transplanted hair look natural?

Natural appearance depends on design, graft selection, hair direction, healing and individual characteristics. No result can be guaranteed.

Does female hair transplantation use DHI?

DHI implantation may be part of the combined Sapphire FUE + DHI approach for suitable scalp cases. The technique is selected according to the treatment plan.

Can a transplant fix hormonal hair loss?

A transplant does not correct hormonal or other underlying causes of hair loss. A clinician should assess whether the condition is stable and whether surgery is appropriate.

Can I have a transplant if I have alopecia areata?

Active alopecia areata often makes transplantation inappropriate. Assessment by a qualified clinician is essential; do not assume surgery is suitable.

What if I have scarring hair loss?

Some scarring conditions require specialist diagnosis and disease control. Transplantation may be unsuitable, particularly if inflammation is active.

How long does recovery take?

Visible healing varies. Redness, crusting and swelling can occur in the early period; new hair growth takes months, with maturation often assessed over 12–18 months.

How much does a female hair transplant cost?

Confirmed eligibility, inclusions and any exceptions are explained after assessment.

Can I travel alone for the procedure?

Many international patients travel alone, but suitability, travel timing, any sedation arrangements and post-procedure assistance should be discussed before booking.
